Another Sylvester Stallone Movie Receives A Shocking 0% Score On

Another Sylvester Stallone movie receives a shocking 0% score on Rotten Tomatoes

Back in December 2024, Sylvester Stallone’s little-known heist film Armor received so many bad reviews that it received a perfect score of zero on review aggregation site Rotten Tomatoes. Now, just over a month later, another Stallone new movie has a 0% on Rotten Tomatoes. It seems almost unfair to Sly, but for some reason his new action/thriller Alarum has received only negative reviews.

Araram, starring Scott Eastwood and Willa Fitzgerald, has an unusual setting. It’s about a group of spies who go rogue in order to enjoy material bliss at a remote winter resort. But their enemies are tracking them, and Stallone, oddly enough, ends up joining the mix as one of his few allies, Agent Chester. So, in a way, the movie is about two big-name actors, Stallone and Eastwood, and a group of good secret agents battling evil secret agents and assassins.

The Rotten Tomatoes score is a bit unfair. If you dig into the individual reviews, some people, including Keith Garlington’s, just give the movie a mediocre review rather than completely slamming it. Garlington gave the film 2.5 stars out of 5, and Ben Gibbons of Screen Rant gave the film 3 stars out of 10.

To be clear, these are not great reviews. But the problem with the Rotten Tomatoes score is that it’s an all-or-nothing score. Even the worst reviews here don’t give Alarum a 0 out of 5 or a 0 out of 10. However, in the RT world, even mixed reviews tend to count as negative reviews. So while Alarum probably deserves some of the criticism it’s receiving, it might be unfair to consider it a complete failure. After all, viewers still have no complaints here, and even poorly reviewed RT action films are very often worth watching anyway.

Moreover, the failure of Armor and Araram probably won’t hurt Sylvester Stallone. This man is famous for getting back up even when he falls down.

Alarum is playing in select theaters and available via VOD on Apple, Amazon, and Google Play.
