A two-point conversion attempt would have tied the game. But instead, an onside kick attempt by the Ravens failed and the Bills lost their remaining games to qualify for the AFC Championship against the Kansas City Chiefs on Sunday (6:30 p.m. EST, CBS). I managed to get down on my knees.
After the game, Andrews received some negative attention online, but Bills fans – as they always do – decided to show their support.
Bills fan Nicholas Howard set up a GoFundMe to support Andrews’ former charity, Breakthrough T1D, a global type 1 diabetes research and advocacy organization. Andrews was diagnosed with type 1 diabetes as a child.

As of Tuesday night, more than $25,000 had been raised from at least 1,000 donations, exceeding the original goal of at least $5,000.
“Breakthrough T1D (formerly JDRF) is deeply grateful for the generosity of the Buffalo Bills community and the many fans who were forced to donate after Sunday’s game,” the organization said in a statement to ESPN. “These donations will support research and advocacy on behalf of the 1.6 million Americans living with type 1 diabetes, like Mark Andrews.”
Top GoFundMe donations included $200 from “Bills Mafia.”
