Here Are The Best Cycling Jerseys For 2025

Here are the best cycling jerseys for 2025

by Men's Reporter Team

From lightweight designs made for indoor cycling to thermal long sleeve options for colder climates, there’s a cycling jersey for all conditions.

You don’t have to get all lycra up or wear cycling shoes to ride a bike, but those in the know choose one of the best cycling jerseys when they get in the saddle. You don’t have to be MAMIL or have the physique of Chris Hoy to understand the benefits of a cycling jersey. Light, comfortable and breathable cycling jerseys are specially designed to make cycling more comfortable, practical and enjoyable.

Good cycling jerseys are usually made from polyester or a blend of merino wool and elastane. Optimizes ventilation around hot spots such as underarms, and a front zipper allows you to increase or decrease airflow while on the move. There’s a rear pocket for on-ride essentials like nutrition and roadside repair tools.

They generally have a body-hugging cut to promote aerodynamics and minimize fabric flapping at high speeds. But it doesn’t have to be skin-tight, and it’s easy to find jerseys that have a relaxed fit rather than a tight fit.

Another feature to look out for is the lightweight summer jersey’s UPF protection (with built-in SPF). Natural materials like merino wool, on the other hand, aren’t just for winter riding, and can help prevent body odor for longer periods of time between washes.

At Insider, iconic Italian brand Castelli presents an indoor-only top that’s the ideal partner for turbo training.

Features Ultra-light design, semi-open mesh, full-length zip, two rear pockets Sizes XS-3XL Color Dark Red/Saville Blue

You’d be forgiven for thinking that indoor-only cycling jerseys are just a niche market. But this lightweight, turbocharged jersey performs exceptionally well during static indoor rides. The blend of 93% polyester and 7% elastane creates a jersey so light and breathable that I never felt the need to unzip it, even during the hottest turbo sessions. Although not really needed indoors, the two deep rear pockets also help with the Insider’s summer outdoor potential.

7. ENDURA CLOUD TEE LIMITED.

Perfect for enduro/downhill

Endura Mountain Bike Jersey Product Photo

men’s fitness verdict

Endura’s Cloud Tee is a great value jersey for those who prefer downhill MTB trails. The design and performance are excellent, but I think it would be better if the hem was a little longer.

Strong PointsSuperior sweat-wicking performance Lightweight and stretchy 80% recycled material Slim fit unlike some DH jerseys
DisadvantagesThe hem is a little short in the front

buy now

Features: Lightweight and sweat-absorbent fabric. Recycled material. Limited edition color sizes S to 2XL Color Blue Steel / Dreich Gray

With 80% of the fabric used at Cloout Tee Ltd sourced from recycled polyester, this enduro and DH friendly t-shirt reinforces Endura’s green credentials. It boosts the Scottish bike apparel maker’s reputation in other ways as well, moving away from traditional baggy downhill jerseys in favor of slimmer, better-looking aerodynamic cuts now being adopted across the sport. It emphasizes the company’s move to do so.

They may only be available in two colors, but both limited edition designs are very impressive, and even the gray one I tried stood out among my riding buddies. Performance is everything you’d expect from an Endura, with good ventilation and sweat wicking. All this and more for less than £40, this jersey has become one of my favorite MTB jerseys this year.

How we tested the best cycling jerseys

Our testers rode around 150km a week in these jerseys, using a combination of road, gravel, and indoor cycling. Each jersey was tested as part of a regular training schedule from late summer to mid-winter. They wore summer short sleeves during my regular city rides and inside the Turbo Trainer, but when the weather dropped below 10°C they wore long sleeve thermal tops. Each jersey goes through at least three wash cycles to maintain its shape, and the pockets are maximized to hold all your riding essentials.
