1. Myprotein 11 piece band set

Best resistance band set on a budget

Resistance 10 lbs (4.5 kg), 20 lbs (9.1 kg), 30 lbs (13.6 kg), 40 lbs (18.1 kg), 50 lbs (22.7 kg) Color Black Number of bands 5 Features Leg strap, door anchor

Overall rating: 4/5

If you’re looking for inexpensive home gym equipment, we think the Myprotein 11 Piece Band Set is one of the best resistance band sets available for beginners. Bands and great value, 5 tube bands, 2 handles, 2 leg straps, and door anchor shipped in a breathable net bag.

The five different colored bands have resistances from 10 lbs (4.5 kg) to 50 lbs (22.7 kg). I found that each band has a carabiner (clamp) on each end, making it easy to hang it on a handle, leg strap, or door anchor. I tried wrapping the leg straps around my ankles to train my abductors, adductors, and glutes, and using the handles on both sides to do shoulder presses and chest presses. Overall, I had a great workout using these bands.

Myprotein’s 11-piece band set may not have as much resistance as some of its competitors, but for constant tension and high rep range conditioning, the 5 bands (which can also be doubled for increased resistance) is valuable and works. It’s a treat.

Overall rating: 4.5/5

Gym kit doesn’t get much simpler than a simple foam roller. Still, pound for pound, it’s one of the most effective pieces of equipment you can buy. Providing deep tissue self-massage, this massage is an important warm-up and cool-down weapon in the fight against muscle soreness and injury, and an important part of the recovery process.

You might think that all foam rollers look and feel the same, but this foam roller from Myprotein has just the right balance of stiffness and softness, with a good mix of grooves and bumps to help you get where you need it most. Provides effective deep tissue massage to the location.

Overall: 5/5

With high-speed bearings, lightweight construction, and ultra-thin rope, Freeletics Jump Rope is the perfect choice for speed work.

The 6.7-inch (17 cm) long aluminum handle is smooth, but thanks to its anti-slip coating, we found it easy to grip even after a strenuous 20-minute session. I also found that the lighter weight put much less pressure on my forearms, making it perfect for double unders.

Dumbbell product shot

Overall: 4.5/5

These stationary dumbbells from Decathlon have a hexagonal steel frame wrapped in rubber for a more stable design than round plates, and can be purchased for less than £60 with a 16.5lb (7.5kg) weight. An inexpensive, space-saving setup designed specifically for weight training and functional training.

I found the knurled metal handle to be a good size to wrap around my hand. Weight options range from 5.5 lbs to 50 lbs (2.5 kg to 22.5 kg), which puts it on the lighter end of the weight spectrum. The hexagonal plate design makes it perfect for floor-based dumbbell exercises like renegade rows and dumbbell press-ups, as the flat side of the weight stays far apart.

The all-black design gives it an attractive, understated look, and despite its low price, the Corength Hex feels built to be used and abused, making it the best home gym equipment you can buy on a budget. It can be said that it is a part of.

Overall: 4/5

If you’re looking for the best exercise ball for weight-based exercises, the Body Power Exercise Ball is the one for you. Anti-burst material can withstand up to 660 lbs (300kg), covering any bench press. The diameter of 65cm (25.6 inches) is an all-around size for most users. The slightly sticky surface is also appreciated. This provides plenty of grip on most surfaces. Despite this, we thought it would roll well during dynamic practice.

However, we found it difficult to inflate this firm and stable ball, even with the included foot pump. But with a 12-month warranty, we think the Body Power Exercise Ball is great value for money.

The Body Power Never Quit Fitness Mat is one of the cheapest mats available, but who wouldn’t know it? During testing, we found that the generous 0.4 inch (10 mm) thick nitrile butadiene rubber construction provides a luxurious and comfortable foam-like feel.

The non-slip surface is textured and provides ample grip. Additionally, the 10mm of cushioning feels super plush underfoot, and our tests found it effectively absorbs shock during more dynamic workouts. Also, Included carry strap – Plus, the mat is double-sided, making it even more versatile.

Overall, I’d say the Body Power Never Quit Fitness Mat is a durable and affordable option that can beat any exercise mat that costs more than five times its price.

Should I buy cheap home gym equipment?
